It's not like there's a stat to see that, after all, so we can't know that with accuracy. The only way to find out if someone's seen your post is that they decide to leave a reaction on it (or else, by directly leaving a comment, just like me right at this moment).

Not exactly.
Once you make a news post, it appears on your profile, and it also can be seen in the bottom of the main page, along with the "Featured Content" text, by clicking on the "Users" section.
